Council History

Central Council of Biochemic and Complex Homoeo Medicine with Research in India

“The Biochemic remedies were not selected according to the similarity principle of Homoeopathy.  They are chemically pure salts, homogeneous to the cell-mineral human body, physiologically and chemically in close relation to them.  By the aid of these minerals disturbed molecular motion in the cells can be rectified, as taken for a certain period, these salts will compensate the losses incurres during a disease.

In 1968 a BILL was placed in the parliament of India for enactment of Astagna Ayurved, Unani and Homoeopathy.  In 1970 Central Council of Indian Medicine Act, 1970 was passed for Astanga Auyrved and Unani only.  Bill for enactment of homeopathy was not passed at that time due to scientific ground and non-existence of actual medicine in higher potentised homoeo medicine.  On the other hand, vital force theory had been proved wrong for the last few decades.  Afterwards the functionaries of homeopathy tactfully included biochemistry or bio-chemic system of medicines in the bill and them only the central council of homeopathy, 1973 act was passed.  Primarily D.H.B(Diploma), B.M.B.S.(degree) remained in the act but afterwards these were abolished by the homeopathy department and D.H.M.S., B.H.M.S etc. came into force with the intention to wipe out the importance and existence of bio-chemistry.

Though astanga ayurveda and unani system of medicine siddhi were passed jointly but they have separate boards for management.  Whereas, the biochemic system of medicine has no separate board although the homeopathy act was passed depending on biochemistry. It may so happen that the management of homeopathy thought within themselves as to the non-existence or less importance of homoeopathy, if a separate board was formed for bio-chemic system of medicines. For instance we may mention regarding mother tincture, china which Dr. Hahnemann first prepared, was the tincture used in Allopathy and such types of may tinctures were taken from allpathy and some tincture such as ashoka, tulsi, bell aswagandha etc. were taken from ayurveda.  As regards patent medicines which the Govt., of India permitted as per drug and cosmetic act is against the rule of homeopathy as per Dr. Hahnemann’s organization of medicine (Article 271 to 291). He specifically instructed not to apply or use Homoeo medicine more than one drop at a time i.e. acute does must be applied, on the other hand as per Govt. of India’s drug and cosmetic act 1940, advises to use 10 ml at a time like allopathy an Ayurvedic medicines.  This is a controversial matter. Against injustice and conspiracy of homeopathy department Dr. Tarun Kanti Bagchi a social reformer and the prince of bio-chemistry, protested brevely and consequently he established central council of biochemic medicine in the year 1986, with a view to separating bio-chemic medical science and for the realization of the conveners of homeopathy dept. that India is a democratic country and nobody destroys democracy by any means.  Her conspirators and selfish persons through different comments and lame excuses and by false allegations tried to harass him time and again and he was arrested also repeatedly.

The person who assisted Dr. T.K. Bagchi in the movement for the separation and development of biochemic medical science wholeheartedly were –

Dr. N.C. Bagchi
Dr. Sadhan Debnath
Dr. P.K. Pramanick
Dr. A.K. Moulik
Dr. Santosh Kr. Biswas
Dr. D. Christian
Dr. S.N. Sarkar
Dr. B. Katiar
Dr. R.R. Chowdhury
Dr. Paritosh Chakraborty (At Present Citizen of Australia)
Dr. M.K. Sarkar    and others

The movement for separate recognition of bi-chemic system of medicine under the leadership of Dr. T.K. Bagchi, gradually spreaded all over the world.  Medicine scientists of different countries like U.K. Australia supported Dr. Bagchi’s concepts. Maathius Eagger of U.K. in his research remarked against Homeopathy.

In 1993, The Hon’ble High Court, Kolkata directed the appropriate Authority, Dept. of Health, Govt. of India” Directing proper consideration of the application of the petitioner for recognition, by the proper Authority”. It is a matter of regret that the secretary, Dept. of Health, Govt. of India, did not consider the direction of Honorable High Court, Kolkata and consequently contempt of the court.

Court Contempt had been filled against the said Dept. and the judgement has been passed by the Hon’ble High Court in favour of Bio-chemic Council.
